post-care and Useful Tips
- Keep the brow area clean by using a natural, fragrance-free gel cleanser (such as Cetaphil) and water. Hands must be freshly washed. Avoid using abrasive washcloths or sponges.
- Allow eyebrows to air dry completely before applying ointment. Apply the provided aftercare ointment (for the number of days recommended by your artist) with freshly washed hands or a micro swab.
- DO NOT rub, pick, or scratch the treated area. Allow any scabbing or dry skin to naturally exfoliate. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss.
- Completely avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of four weeks after your procedure. Direct sunlight can alter the pigment color while healing and may cause hyperpigmentation and scarring.
- Avoid pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, and hot baths for three weeks.
- Avoid sweating for 10 days. Any physical activity, gym workouts, exposure to hot weather, or anything that causes sweating on or around the brows may expel pigment from the dermis, leading to poor results.
- Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
- Do not apply makeup or skincare products to the treated area for two weeks.
- Avoid facials, chemical treatments, and microdermabrasion for four weeks.
- No Botox for four weeks. It’s best to wait until after your touch-up has healed before getting Botox, as an experienced injector will take your new brows into account when administering treatment.
- After 10 days, once fully healed, consider using sunblock when exposed to sunlight to prevent color fading.
- Do not tint your eyebrows for two weeks after your procedure.
- Once healed, avoid Retin-A, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion around the brow area.
Please note:
Your eyebrows will appear darker and bolder during the first week due to the natural healing process. This is normal for all permanent cosmetic procedures.
